toilet seat got me beat

We have a Thetford Aqua -Magic Style Plus High toilet. it has a front flush pedal and a shroud that is removed by taking off two rubber bands from the back. I somehow got a small crack in the toilet seat and told my wife it would be an easy fix.I have replaced a few at home so I wasn't expecting it to be very complicated. I flipped up the two lids that cover the bolts that hold the seat and found what looked like hard plastic slotted bolts. So far, no problem, but then I thought "where are the nuts". So I figured I'd see them if I took off the two rubber bands and the shroud but still no nuts. The back of the toilet is open but up against the wall, could it be that the toilet has to be taken up to replace the damn toilet seat?

I can truly believe a Mfg. would do that, But doubt it. Have you put a little twist to see if they turn? Could be a threaded hole! I haven’t done this, so don’t know for sure!

Sounds like a good time to replace it with a Dometic 310 or 320. Ad you will have a real toilet seat along with it.
