Came Back Too Soon
Been back in Illinois from SW Florida for several days. Last two days it has been in the 70's and great. Storms coming today and Monday night it is getting down to 26 degrees! Going out to put heated water supply hose on. Next year we will try returning after May 1st and see how that works out.

Yep, winter seems to be holding on a lot longer in many places on this continent. We got a couple inches of snow yesterday here in southern Manitoba. Keep warm, maybe next week we can finally put an end to this madness.

Not that bad here, but much colder than usual here. My garden was looking great. Then a hail storm beat it down last week. And now we may get a frost on Tuesday morning.

Since we are way south of I-80 that makes us almost "Southern Illinois Folks" don't it?

Not much better out here in Albuquerque. 50mph wind gusts and tomorrow night below freezing.

Well I guess I was in too big of a hurry to go camping in North Eastern, Utah. Pulled my Montana up on the mountain and camped last week and left the trailer over the weekend. Yesterday (Sunday) we got 1-1/2 feet of snow and I can't get back to my trailer. I hope the batteries and propane last; I set the thermostat to 40 degrees. If not I will probably have some frozen pipes.

Our friends have been in the Grand Canyon area and said they had almost freezing night temps and sleet. We leave Sunday for a 6 week trip out west and back. We have decided on a southern route going out and wait to do Jackson Hole and some of those places on the way back. I swear this spring will never even out.

Silverton at 9300 feet was still cold but was sunny last week. We left Durango on Thursday and got snow flurries while going over to Mancos at 7000 feet. We heard cold weather was coming as we traveled through Cortez on Saturday, the day was beautiful with an added bonus of watching a rancher moving cattle herd on Hwy 160 which made for an interesting unscheduled "rest stop". Casa Grande during day time is about to go above 100 so we will soon be heading east.
