Ozz, How timely as the Missouri Conservationist Magazine just ran an article on this topic: http://mdc.mo.gov/conmag/2013/02/selling-walnut-timber

Yes, we need to sell our Walnut Trees as our county joins Cumberland County that has a disease that could cause issues for all of middle Tennessee.

That's a good article. As the author pointed out, you generally can't find a buyer for a tree near a house as it may contain metal that could damage cutting blades. My mother had a very nice walnut in her backyard and we couldn't find a buyer because of this

About 30 years ago I sold a large one in Leavenworth. My guess is the guy I sold it to is long dead and I don't even remember his name anymore, but here's where I went to get his name (had to do it by phone in those days): http://www.kansasforests.org/pubs/ru...r%20Buyers.pdf

Thanks Dick, I really appreciate it. Your link has a buyer in St. Joe, only around 40 miles from my Casa.

Thought it might help, I figured if I could get it done in Levenworth you could find someone who'd come to KC.
