What Tires Are Standard On The HC ?

I talked with the Keystone Customer serv and told them I had questions about the HC. They tried to refer me to my dealer which I said I would prefer to speak to someone there that is capable of answering questions about the HC line. They did connect me with a fellow who did not just start yesterday, but maybe the day B4.

He was not sure on this one: Is there a particular brand F-rated tire I can expect on a HC?

Mine also came with the Ranier 235/80R16F tires and I just got rid of them with less than 1000 miles on them. I bought Westlake G rated tires of the same size that are a 14 ply with much more substantial sidewall and bead. I looked up the Ranier tires on the internet and the replacement cost for them is $88.00. Frankly, I'm not going to trust my $50,000 coach to a set of $88 tires. I would recommend stepping up to a G rated tire. We just pulled our HC from Omaha to Rapid City over the last couple of days and the ride and handling of the drive was much better as well. The only change I have made has been the tires.

It may be difficult for Keystone to pinpoint what brand tire went on a particular trailer or model. One of their primary OEM providers is Tridet. They have 9 brands of ST tires and the GY G614 currently in inventory. Keystone May single out a brand for a particular trailer model. If so, what would be the reason? In OE tire selection the primary factor is the tire's load capacity.

Rainier is an OEM Tridet product.
West Lake is an OEM LionsHead product.

Our 2018 Montana came with Rainer G rated tires and so far after several thousand miles they are in very good shape and provide our rig with easy ride and handling.

Rainer on our 18 also. Took them off and put on sailing. Best 600 I ever spent.

At the factory tour for HC, the tires were Raineer. At least I presume so - I could read Rain.. But couldn't stand on my head for the other half! LOL

My HC came from factory with Rainer load range F tires. While they held up better than I thought, I decided not to push my luck much longer and ordered Sailuns. My local Montana dealer claims he has not heard of any Rainer (Load range F) tire failures - so far?

My 2019 381TH came with Rainier 2358016, G rated tires. We have had 3 separate in the 1500 miles we have used our Toy Hauler. In the process of switching tires out at the present.

My 2019 HC 373RD has the Rainier ST235/80R16 tires. I have about 1800 miles on them. No issues yet. I will change them out to Sailun In the Spring though.
