Black Water tank replacement

Good morning, we are new and have a 2018, Montana High County HM379RD. Could you give any advice on replacing the black water tank?

Your black tank is located in the drop frame area between framing members. You need to take the coroplast bottom off the get to the tanks. The screen shots below will give you a general idea where things are located. Other forum members have actually done the job will be able to offer better technical help than me.

I recently had the coroplast off the forward drop down.
Use a 1/4" socket on a drill in reverse and a pry bar under the washer to remove the nails.
Here are some pictures.
1. Looking aft. Black tank on the left. It is held in place by the bar running the lenght of the tank. You can see the 3 bots holding this end of the bar. Same 3 bolts at the other end.
2. Front of black tank. This is where the black tank flush goes into the tank.
3. I used Gorilla tape to close up any holes in the frame (air gaps) to stop drafts. Keeps you warmer/cooler. I also added insulation around the perimeter of the frame and across the bottom before closing it up.

Have zip ties ready to tie up all the wiring and hydraulic hoses.
Use #14 x 1" self drilling bolts to put the coroplast back up. Use the same holes you pulled the nails out.

Black tank replacement

Good day, thanks for replying. I assume there are pipes coming into the top of the black tank, one to vent and one to carry waste. How are they connected to the tank top, glued to tank or have a rubber connector that the pipe slides into. Thanks again.

Good day, thanks for the information, extremely helpful. One more question, the vent and waste pipe going into the top of the tank, are the glued or connect with a rubber connector? Thanks in advance.

I replaced my galley tank a few years back. The vent pipe was slipped into a rubber grommet/bushing. No clamp or glue.
