Quiet Air Conditioning???
Our hvac/fan over the rear den is very quiet. When the air conditioner kicks in however it's extremely loud. Sounds like a typical ac compressor to me.
What noise level do you have withe the " quiet ac"?

Quiet air is quiet. Great in the downstairs area. Low hum. Unfortunately for us, AC. In the bedroom is the old fashioned variety.

You're probably getting vibration making the noise. Check the AC mounting.

We have a brand new 3710fl and the rear air conditioner is making a noise like a trashing machine (Humm, humm, humm). On the outside is not noticeably but in the bedroom it's terrible.Didn't notice it during the PDI, raining hard at the time.
Any suggestions to what it could be or should I haul it over the mountain to the dealer?

Take the cover off. maybe the drain holes are clogged and the fan is hitting water or check for interference of the fan and any other obstructions

I think most AC RV noise is caused by clogged, worn out or damaged components. Therefore, you need to do regular maintenance on your RV AC especially if it’s an older model. RV AC noise can emanate from blocked air flows via vents and ducts. Therefore, cleaning the ducts and vents can help to lower the noise levels and get rid of musty smell.
