Hi-gloss or gel coated Filon

We are going to order a new 3670 on Saturday and are still wrestling over to get it with the Hi-gloss finish or stay with the standard gel coated Filon. I know there is a weight difference, what is the +/- of the two? Is the Hi-gloss worth the extra weight and $$$?. Thanks for the input.
