RV slides stop and start while retracting

My biggest dread every time it’s time to move to another RV Park is closing the slides. I’m always afraid they won’t work. We have a 2014 Montana that we bought used in 2017 and was used for only 6 weeks by previous owners. We started traveling last year for 6 months and are now on our west coast tour. Today as I was closing the slides, the kitchen slide worked fine, but instead of the second slide automatically moving, nothing happened. I let off the switch and tried again. It started to move in, stopped, and again I let off the switch and it closed all the way. The third slide did the same thing. Is this a battery issue? We were connected to power outside and the battery was replaced two years ago. Joe keeps up with battery maintenance. The slides sound fine when retracting, but it seems like a power issue. Any ideas?

You need to swap out the 40 amp breaker that protects your hydraulic pump with a 80 amp breaker. Search the forum - there are several threads on this issue.

Definitely get the bigger 80A auto reset breaker and install it. It is a simple and quick job, just beware that the hole in the cable connector may need to be resized as the 80A breaker that I installed had bigger threaded studs.
You will be a lot happier when you do this.
