hello folks

Nancy and I finally took the leap and joined the RV world via a 2006 3400RL/Dodge 3500 07 QC Dually. We purchased our Montana from a out of state(KY) individual, not sure I'll go through that again but the price made it worth it or at least we think. We knew we would enjoy the 3400RL as a good friend has a 3480RL and Nancy & I really liked his rig. This is our 1st RV so I'm sure we wil be visiting the fourm often. See ya'll later

Great to have you join. I, too, bought a pre-owned unit the first time around. It is a great way to break into the RV world. The 3400 is a popular unit with many advocates. I hope your entry into the Montana world exceeds your expectations.

What a GREAT choice, a 3400rl and a Dodge 3500 dually. I guess great minds do think alike. Hope you enjoy those new toys as much as we do!

Welcome to the forum, Steve and Nancy. This is the best spot on the web to get information about your rig, RVing in general and to meet great people with similar interests.

Thanks everyone for your welcoming remarks.Since this was/well a overnight deal we've had to sit for a spell to soak it all in. The seller wasn't sure what he had and depended on a friend to value the unit(estate). When we started putting all the pieces together we had a unit with an onan 5.5 gen/tracvision sat sys/power auto leveling sys/2 auto vents/upgraded tires to goodyear. We really lucked into a nice setup, now if we only knew how all this great stuff worked-oh I forgot there is also a flushing system intalled. Thanks again
By the way, on the more about us side, I run an indepentent plumbing wholesale company and my wife is ret'd from 30 yrs with mabell and now works for me(yes it works/married 34yrs maybe thats how). We own a 2003 Harley heritage springer, shoot IDPA for fun(Kimber 45acp), and we have this great little 3 yr old grandson(lives with us) that we just can't seem to get enough of(imagime that).

Welcome to the users blog.
I just purchased a 2008 3400RL and pick it up Wednesday 3/5.
I also have a Dodge 3500 and love it.
It doesn't downshift from overdrive except on large hills.
Running about 15 mpg while towing level. Haven't been to the mountains yet. Alaska here I come soon.
Check out the forums and ask any questions you might have. Someone can help.
