2021 3781RL Montana Legacy

I'm getting ready to upgrade my 2013 3582RL to a 2021 3781RL Legacy. I can't decide whether to go for the custom paint or the base colors, it's like a 7K upgrade not sure it's worth it, but not a big fan of the black striping color scheme on the 2021.

it comes down to what you really like. As you said, big money., but full body paint is beautiful for sure.

You might think about ongoing maintenance as well. Don't know how long you intend to keep it or how you keep it but if outside a lot the regular finish will oxidize in short order and/or require a lot of elbow grease to keep looking good. Everyone I've talked to with full paint loved it and said it was much easier to maintain than the Filon sides. You may want to look into that to see what you think. I do know that after prepping, buffing (and rebuffing) and waxing a larger RV I probably would think it was worth it as I sat there huffing and sweating.

We bought a 2020 this time last year with all the options except paint. It wasn't a financial issue, more lack of experience and pig pigheadedness because they wanted $10,000.00 and would not deal on that one item, maybe I cut them too close on everything else.

One year later I wish I had bought paint, not that anything has gone wrong with it (have it washed at Blue Beacon twice a year and will have someone seal it every few years), but I now think I should have bought it and will next time.

I don't know if it was an end of year thing or some other special but when we bought our 2020 the paint was 9,750 and there was a deduction of 9,750 off of the MSRP. So we only paid 70K for a legacy with paint.

We did accentual the same thing on our 2020 got all options (every thing except paint) free but they wanted $10,000.00 for paint, I didn't want to pay $78,000.00 then, I now wish I had.

Full Body Paint is expensive, BUT years down the Road when your unit still looks Brand New, you'll realize you made the right choice.
Ours is 5 1/2 years old and still get asked if it's new.

Go for it on the new one. My next one will have it. Just looks so gorgeous with full paint and the front and rear caps.
