Service/Repair manuals

Hello all; new members here and new 3231CK owners. We're travelling locally and regionally from the Tampa area for now, and will become full-time in October. My question: Does anyone make a service manual for the Montana like the Chilton or Haynes manuals for cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc etc? I haven't seen anything, but it seems like something worth having

Would be nice. But I have never heard of any thing any where close to a comprehensive manual such as Chiltons for any RVs. Considering the many differences between brands and the generally low volume of each (compared to say a Chevy truck) I don't think it would be financially viable. If it was, someone would have done it. You pretty much have to rely on individual component manuals, if you can find them. But most are available for free on the web with a google search.

Unfortunately no....we are your manual Trailers are so generic and the components are always changing. I would go so far as to say that no 2 trailers are identical. The systems are similar in all trailer as most manufactures use a lot of the same components.

This forum and Youtube is as good as it gets. You can also learn a lot from the Keystone site as well as the Lippert site.

The Files Section here on the MOC has a good start on manuals relating to the various components installed on your RV. And more are added as someone finds a good one. Look for the second brown ribbon above for the links to the Files Section.

Keystone has some resources available.
Their DIY program has some helpful videos.
https://www.keystonerv.com/diy-program

You can download to your phone the 'MyKeystone' app.
https://www.keystonerv.com/mykeystone

Lots of good info there too.

The only manual I have seen is the general Keystone manual. Suggest downloading all the manuals for each equipment item, including slides. Also do an internet seaqrch on fifth wheel trailer maintenance intervals and find many examples like this one: https://www.loveyourrv.com/fifth-wheel-rv-maintenance/

That DIY link above is really good, I think. I checked out 2 videos and they would be helpful. They have a GIGGY box video too!! Good explanation that has been recently referenced a lot in various posts.

Moderators - is there somewhere this link could be posted in the main part of the website???

The Mykeystone app has links to many of the component manuals for your rig.

If you get on Facebook, check out:

The MOC software doesn't provide a facility to centrally post links with explanations. I cobbled together a quick PDF Document using Keystone's verbiage and their links. The document could then be added to the Files Section with all the other helpful information.

Take a look at the attached PDF document and see what you think. Would it be worthwhile to add the other links from this Thread to capture them also?

I was also in search of the "Holy Grail." I decided to go back to school and will attend the NRVTA, taking the RV Fundamentals Training and RV Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps courses. There are several other courses I want to attend and will save them for another visit. I am looking forward to connecting with the staff at the NRVTA and fellow students.

Repairs

The best manual I’ve ever found is YouTube. I’ve never had a problem I couldn’t solve there.

I'll do the same in reference to the NRVTA school - IF they ever become a accredited school with the Lone Star State where I can use my Texas Veterans benefits.

Talking with NRVTA the accreditation for Veterans to use GI Bill or Hazelwood Act dollars should be available in April. I plan on attending several other courses.
