Welcome aboard! Take a sec to introduce yourself. Tell us what trailer and truck you've got.

As for programming the AC...not sure what you mean. Can you tell us what issues you're having...what it's doing or not doing? Which thermostat you've got? Pictures help as well.

You'll find helpful folks here. Just a little more info...

Welcome to the forum.

As jsb5717 said, need some more information on what you are trying to do. The AC itself is a pretty dumb device, it does have a control board with some firmware installed. You (consumer) can't access it, I seriously doubt a dealer or repair shop can even access it either. The control board isn't a terribly expensive part and it's quicker and easier to just replace it. There are some programmable RV thermostats on the market that will allow you to program automatic change over from heat to AC and setback periods of time if you want to allow the camper to cool down some overnight but have temperature back to desired setting by the time you get up.

I've looked at one of the programmable thermostats because I'm a gadget kind of guy and can't justify the cost. It would be > $500 to replace both thermostats with me doing the labor. If you are camping in a hot climate, allowing the AC to raise the temperature if you are going to be gone for the day and have it back to desired setting by the time you return doesn't save a thing. In fact, it will make the AC run longer and harder making up the temperature difference. ACs are much more efficient at maintaining a temperature, not big swings in settings. If you are connected to shore power, you're paying for the power if you use it or not. If you're using solar or generator might be a little different. Heating with a heat pump would fall into the same category, they just can't make a big (> 2 degree) temperature change very quickly. The only advantage I could see would be running the furnace on LP. The gas furnace can make up big temperature swings pretty quickly, and you are working with a finite amount of gas. This would only be applicable if you do a lot of cold weather camping.

It all depends on how often you go camping, where and when you go, and your personal definition of comfort.

One of lives in a different world. Anytime I have contacted Keystone they always say they do NOT talk/email with customers, only dealers. Any dealers I have encountered are refugees from the village idiots club.
If you know of a email ideally or a phone number that they will talk on, please post.

Not programmable but~~ there is a degree difference on heat pump where both LP and electric come on until temp catches up on my Montana. If I arrive and the inside temp is 64 and the HP is set for 72 when the HP is turned on BTH sources come on until about a 3 degree +/- difference then the LP shuts down and HP only working
