Yes . It is a nice alternative when you need to take the chill off and do not want to burn the propane for the furnace.

We have had one in the previous model and one in the current one, therefore I guess we already ordered it again. If used properly and maintained, they provide a nice added feature. Previous forum postings have documented the failures, the causes, and the preventive measures to avoid problems.

Wouldn't have a rig without it. We use it all winter long.

When we first saw the fireplace advertised in the Montana we thought it was kind of stupid. Who needs a fake fireplace in a 5th wheel. Now that we've been full timing for almost six months through some colder weather, we wouldn't be without it. The electric heat that it throws takes the chill off on a cold morning and it is a fantastic supplement to the propane heat. Some nights we have left it on all night. It certainly cuts into the propane bills. It's a great money saver when electric is included in the camping fees. Even when you are paying for electric, it's nice that you can reduce the number of times that you have to lug your propane tank to get it filled. Our dogs have laid claim to the carpet in front of the fireplace. They will let us know when they want it turned on.

Wouldn't be without one. Sometimes, it's the only heat we need.

I didn't have one in my 3400RL so I put one in. We used it extensively when travelling through the mountains in Alberta. I would definitely have it in another RV if I purchased another one.

Ours did not come with one. And when I first heard of them I thought, really? An electric fireplace in a trailer? Why?
But the DW wanted one. So I installed one. Now I love it and would order one if we buy another trailer.

We are in the minority. Our first Montana (2008 3400RL) that we purchased from stock had the fireplace. We rarely used it, so when we ordered our current Montana (2012 3585SA) we opted for the extra storage instead. We are pleased with our decision.

Very happy to have one and it saves on propane when we stay in short stay campgrounds and the electricity is free. I did have to disassemble and clean this year in Arizona this winter because it kept shutting down. A lot of dust accumulated in 3 years.
