Bad battery Boo-Boo!

We've left our 3280 in a KOA campground over the last month or so, enjoying it as a "hunting lodge" for our bi-weekly duck hunting forays.

Apparently I left the furnace "on" the last time we were down, and this time arrived to dead batteries. The good news is I did shut off the propane, so that didn't get used up. The bad news is that my discharged batteries froze, and split the casings!

I will for sure add a battery disconnect when I replace my two Trojan T-105's. Any suggestions for a source for the battery disconnect??

Battery switches are popular among boaters. Any marine supply would be able to help. A good one online is overton.com Bass pro shops is another place to go.
Hope this helps.

I bought one for each battery post (4) from a local tool store at the flea market. I can switch batteries in manner of seconds. I always keep one charged full. Cost was about a buck apiece.

That's about right... in Canada Princess Auto sells a negative post disconnect for just over $1.00

The level of sophistication you want in your switching will probably determine what you spend for one. You might look at www.bluesea.com for an array of switches and also some fairly nice double "golf cart" battery boxes.
