Electric Theater Seating

I love the electric theater seats, but I have noticed that they don't include the heat function found in some other brands.

I wish my 3000RK had theater seating like the new models. This is one of the biggest problems with most all RV's is the placement of the tv for viewing it without craning your to one side or the other.

When we look for a new camper we look to see if you have to turn your head to watch tv. I you do we walk out no matter what else it has or price.

With you on that one. It is on our “must have” list that tv is easy to view. It is the reason we like front living room models and will never ever buy a conventional toy hauler! We love the layout on our HC 381TH because the front living room feels just like a small den in a house. And the theater seating is a big plus. Could care less about heated seats though.

Have you dug around in the side pocket? I didn’t find mine either for awhile.

Hmm.. there’s a side pocket on both ends of ours. Recline it all the way and see if the controllers are rolling around underneath.
Maybe the heat is a Legacy thang?🤷*♂️

I could care less about the heat function in the seats, but my wife loves it. We looked at a 2018.5 3791rd this past Saturday and it did not have the heated seats. Trying to convince her on the Montana, but she informed me that the Jayco North Point had heated seats. It may be part of the Legacy package, but that is not one of the options included in that package.

Have a 2016 3791RD with manual recline theater seating. Controllers for the heat are in the side pockets. Hard to believe they moved to electric recliners and forgot the heat. That being said, I have never used the heat function as the fireplace warms things up nicely.
Not sure I would be a fan of the electric recline function. Something else that can fail.
Can you manually close the foot rest if you had to get up quickly ?

You have to wait on the electric. It is an aggravation

My DW and were talking about the electric recline function at a recent RV Show and our first thought was when boondocking you have to have an inverter just to recline. I'd prefer our manual seats. We do have the electric recline at home though and they even have electrically adjustable headrests

That settles it. We will never boondocks if I can’t recline and watch my 50”tv lol

Without heated theater seats that vibrate massage after a hard day of camping would be intolerable. You would have to spend extra time in your front bubble bath tub while looking out your front window at those dreaded tent campers.

To each their own.

We traded our electric theater seats out for two New Euro Recliners while the theater seats still sat and looked brand new. We both love the manual 360 degree swivel Euro Recliners. More comfortable for us than the theater seats were. The back of the theater seat was too short and I couldn't lean back and rest my head. The Euro recliners fixed that problem because they have higher backs. The Euro recliners allow for easier access of setting things behind than with the theater seats. We can also now use the electric outlets on those walls and the Euro recliners are lighter to move when we need to vacuum. Not to mention a place to put things out of the way inside the circular bases while traveling. To each their own.

I like those euro seats too and they would work in our 5er BUT my wife and I like the love seat with no divider between us of the current Theater Seating. It allows her to snuggle up while we are watching a movie......In fact we like them better than the love seat with a console between us in the S&B. Like you said to each his own.
