Mattress topper

We find the king mattress in our new trailer a bit hard. It's almost a glorified mat. We are thinking of adding a memory foam topper.

Any recommendations?

Do these things add too much weight? We still want to be able to access the under bed storage easily.

Parklane makes RV sized mattresses for 5-600 dollars, I'm not even going to bother with the stock mattress.

We used a 3" toper from Costco. LOVE it. Adds maybe 15lbs.

Try a natural latex foam topper about 4 inches thick. It's a heavy dense foam so it supports you better than any other foam and there are no pressure points and at the same time it's very soft. It's all I sleep on.

3inch memory foam mattress topper from kohl. Had to trim just a bit for the king bed. Love it, bought one for the house as well. Did some shopping for a mattress, did not find anything we liked. Certainly did not like the Mattress that came with our 2015, topper was a good solution.

We bought a new mattress instead of a topper.

We bought a sleep number from Sleep Number on line. They come UPS in a few days. We got the basic model and bought a memory foam topper for it from Walmart. They are light and adjustable for firmness.

Purchased a new Parklane memory foam RV king mattress this morning. Supposed to be here mid-week. Excited to try it out.

Thanks for the input. There was a similar thread on the Facebook group with varying responses. Not sure what we are going to do.

You may be skeptical with this, but the 12 inch "Spa Sensations" memory foam mattress from Walmart is amazing. We had one in our old bumper tow for two years. We liked it so much that when we purchased our Montana we replaced the stock king size mattress with one of these. For info we have the top of the line Sleep Number at home (over $8000) and like the Spa Sensations mattress better. The kicker is we payed $279 for it.

The Spa Sensations is very comfortable and doesn't heat up much. It is very supportive, but is soft enough to not have any pressure points. For those that like rock hard mattresses, you may not like it. My parents like to sleep on a rock and did not care for it. I have recommended it to three friends who all have bought one and love it. One of them purchased one for their main mattress at home.

I just thought I would put it out there. For $279 it is hard to go wrong with the Spa Sensations.

Forsch you have found just what my friend who owns a furniture and mattress store knows. He buys expensive mattress cuts them open to see what they are made of. All I have ever see he cut open were made of very cheap materials stuff you could buy at Walmart, with a fancy cover. If you have an expensive mattress don't cut it open you will be mad.
