G614 tires
I am considering changing out my E rated tires to G614's. I am wondering if the 110 PSI pressure will stiffen the ride so much that it will damage the infrastructure of the 5th wheel. Could I lower the tire pressure a bit or would that do more harm than good? I have had several blowouts with the E tires. What is each G614 tire rated to carry? (PSI)

My opinion is that the rig will never know the difference because of the suspension system. At 110 psi the 614's are good for 3750 pounds each. The weight rating does decrease as pressure is lowered. You can get a load inflation chart from the Goodyear web-site. There are different opinions as to whether the tires should be at maximum inlfation or inflated per the load chart. I typically use 105 psi cold in our 614's.

Based on our our weight and the Goodyear chart, we are running 95 pounds cold and have a little over 30K miles on them.

We have run our at 100psi,105psiamd 110psi and note no difference in ride or MPG.

Actually we believe the rig rides better on the 614's and we run at or near full pressure.

We have not run them, but from all accounts folks who do are happy, and have never indicated any problems re your concern.

I'm running about 105 cold, mainly because that's all I can get out of my compressor. I'm not anywhere near fully loaded and find the trailer runs smooth at that pressure.

I am still experimenting with G614 tire pressure. During the past 3 weeks (about 3,500 miles) I have ran them at 95 cold. Depending on the temperature, most days on the road they end up at about 110 - 115 psi. What has impressed me about these tires is that most mornings when I hook up and turn on my TPMS, the pressure in all four reads the exact same. Our slides protect all four tires from direct sunlight when camped. When we start back across, from Seattle to Illinois, I may add pressure and bring each up to 100 psi to see if I can tell any difference. I don't know if I will ever run them at 110 psi cold pressure, but I know a lot of folks on the forum do without any issues.

At 105 to 110 psi, which we run in ours, the trailer is so much more stable. It doesn't seem squirrely like it was with the E rated tires at 80 psi. I also don't think it bounces as much either, maybe because the tires aren't flexing as much like the Marathons were.
