Longer Shower Hose - Montana Owners Club

Has anyone extended their hand held shower hose? I would like to either extend the one that came in the Monty or replace with a longer one all together. Just was wondering if anyone had ever taken on this small task?

Took ours out of that little loop that holds it against the wall. Not any longer, but a lot more functional. The little loop, Al discovered, is perfect place to store a razor blade, he sweetly let me hang mine there!

I agree with the need for a longer hose. I am a little taller and would love to have it mounted up high enough I didn't have to bend down to rinse my hair. Doesn't bother me enough to really look too hard, but if I see one at camping world or some RV store I would most likely pick one up. Let me know if you have any luck.

I did what Al did and take it out of that loop.I cut the loop so I can replace the hose when I`am done.Its nice in the fact that you can reach the walls of the shower to clean them off before getting out of the shower.

I looked for months for a longer hose that would work, then did what Carol did. Unscrew the shower head from the hose, drop the hose out of the loop, put the shower head back on. We then had plenty of hose, never again felt a need for a longer one. We use that loop same as Carol and Al, too.

We purchased another shower head - it came with a hose so Joe screwed the two together & we took it off the little loop (what a pain that is, it really is good for nothing) - voila a longer hose - good for the pets and the humans. I have some hooks on the wall - just drape it over when it is not needed. Comes in handy.
The head has never fallen during our travels.

Laura that is a good ideal. I had wondered if the connections on such an effort would actually mate up. Thanks for the heads up. This is probably the easist way to make one longer.

We moved the loop lower by about 18" and filled in the holes with a couple of plastic do-dads that we got at Home Depot. Still have the loop, but more hose to use.

Since I am short and hate water on my face, I put the shower head in that lower loop. Our PDI tech told us to split it and then you can take it in and out at will.

Before you spend money for another hose you might try just taking the hose out of the loop altogether. You'll be surprised how much difference that makes. And it costs nothing.

Oops, forgot to say you need a 1/2" close pipe nipple to screw the two hoses together.
