Great Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread
You will all really think I have "lost-it" when you read this recipe, but it's very good. It's a tradition at our house to make it Christmas eve night for Christmas morning.
Small children get quite a kick helping to make this and then seeing what it looks like in the morning before it's cooked.
Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread
18 frozen, uncooked dinner rolls (Bridgeford brand is what I use)
1 cup of brown sugar
1 package (3.5 oz) of butterscotch pudding mix (“cook” type, not instant)
¼ cup of granulated sugar
1 to 3 teaspoons of cinnamon
½ to 1 cup of nuts (walnut bits or pecans bits)
1 cube of butter, melted
Instructions
Grease and flour a Bundt pan or Angel Food cake pan.
Put rolls in pan (no particular order)
Mix brown sugar & the butterscotch pudding mix together, sprinkle over rolls.
Sprinkle nuts over sugar & butterscotch pudding mixture.
Mix granulated sugar & cinnamon, and sprinkle over nuts.
Melt butter and pour over the whole mess.
Cover top of pan with greased plastic wrap as this will GROW and overflow the pan if you don’t cover it!
Let it rise all night long on your kitchen counter.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Carefully take off the plastic wrap. Don't be scared over the appearance, it won't hurt you.
Cook for 30 minutes.
Check on it while it is cooking. It tends to brown too fast so you may need to cover it with foil towards the last 10 minutes or so.
Let cool for 15 minutes and dump it out onto a plate.
