Missed the regional rally in Nebraska City, due to warranty work, thinking about a road trip. Is the national rally kid friendly with things for them to do? Or is it better to pawn them off on grand parents for a few days?

If it were me, I'd send them to the grand parents. Few to no kids at the Rallies I've been to and as a Grand Pa and Great Grand Pa I can tell you few Grand Parents feel they spend too much time with the kids.

Have been to the last 3 fall rallies.
Last year there was one unit had small kids.
Other than that I did not see any other kids.
IMHO: the rally is not kid friendly.

Pulling out in the morning with 4 kids under 11 with the wife out of town for work. I say this not being disrespectful as I am getting older but it does seem like the Montana owners are a little more seasoned. At 38 it seems like most owners are 50+. I would love a long week with the wife and no kids so I may make plans for a kids free week. My wife says I am an 80 year old trapped in a 40 year old body!!!

Fire_Hazard-- You do a you wish. The kids will be welcome if you bring them along but as has been stated earlier by others there is not much for them to do since most of the Rally is geared around sessions to teach the owners about how and what their rigs are made of and how they work. It's a FUN Rally to attend and a learning experience along with it. If the Mrs. does not drive towing the Monte, we have a class for that so she can learn the specifics of hooking up, towing, and backing the rig. There is a lot to learn and did I mention food. We have some of the best cooks in the world as MOC members and the potluck meals held during the Rally prove this. We're sorry you couldn't make it to the Central Plains Rally but hope you will join us at the Fall Rally. If you or anyone attending the Fall Rally for the first time have any questions, PM or email me and I'll try to answer them the best I can.

The Mennonite Relief is not actually part of our Fall Rally. It is separate and our Rally just happens to be the same weekend their Relief is going on at the fair grounds. We have our own charity tent that we bring things for and this will be explained in a thread shortly by Mary and Glenn Strom.

We brought our great grandson to last years rally. There is nothing at the rally for kids. If you do bring them plan on not attending any workshops or many of the other planned activities. We love our little guy and would not give up the time we spent with him but this year we are flying solo. On the upside there were lots of resident grandmas that loved spending time with him.
