Yamaha 2000 Generator & Batteries

We will be going to Key West this winter and will be doing quite a bit of dry camping. (staying at NAS Key West) Will not have a need to run the air conditioner so at this point we will buying just one. Also looking to purchase 2 6 Volt Batteries.

Any recommendation on where to get the best price for the generator/batteries?

Thanks

Don and Judy thanks for the information on batteries. We were thinking of getting them too, it's good to hear someone else is very satisfied with them.

Thanks again,
Marge & Jim

Let us know how the overflow parking is. May want to check it out one day if the 90 other spaces are filled.

Sure will. We plan on stopping at Foster Creek - Charleston S.C., Eagle Hammock - Kings Bay, Ga., Pelican Roost - Mayport, Fl., Manatee Cove - Cocoa Beach, Fl. then on down to Sigsbee.
We were at Sigsbee for a month late last Spring and really enjoyed the area. Since this is our first time dry camping I didn't want to do 3 months of it, might have to do 6 weeks before we get on a site, we'll see. From what I read online, 400 rigs go down there a year and keep on coming back year after year, so I guess it can't be too bad.

Interstate offers a battery that as made for these solar powered portable signs you see along construction sites and such places. The guy at interstate battery told me it was their best battery. It is about 2 to 3 times the size of a standard battery. I think mine was about $175.
If you are like me you will need someone to help you put it in your camper, it is heavy.
