JUNK! We replaced our with the original TWICE!! Broke 3x..Bought another brand for 45.00 and it is make much better, thicker and did not break..

I open them regularly. Also helps to keep the rubber seal from sticking to the glass. Whenever that happens, I try to open them with steady pressure. I guess in an emergency I would just kick on the glass.
