The cambridge (358) rated max weight is 16,900 pounds. If loaded properly it will have about 20% of that (about 3400 pounds) on the pin. If you read our cambridge review you will find we were loaded to almost 18,000 pounds trailer weight with 3800 pounds on the pin. Needless to say we had to unload some of that. One of the great things about the Cambridge is all the places to put stuff. Like calories, it goes on easier than it comes off. (Vikki says I have to give up my tiki bar. I say she needs to leave the potted plants at home. wonder who will win.)

Dave and Vicky,
That reminds of the Lucile Ball, Desie Arnez movie "The Long Long Trailor" it was out in the 50's and it showed Lucy stashing rocks and small bolders in all the drawers and cabinets which made climbing and decending the Rocky's very interesting. The down hill run was very interesting.
Take care.

I think Desi made more money than I did. I remember the movie and you are right. Sometimes there is a lot of truth in fiction.

Any word on the Cambridge? Our dealer said that Keystone did pull the plug on it. I guess we'll find the whole story this fall at the rally.

On our factory tour, they told us that the Cambridge is definitely gone. They did say that something would take its place, and that it would probably be something between a regular Montana and the Cambridge. Nothing more definite was said.

(Ron: Noticed your post about Mike being at Rolling-On RV. Good for Mike! Probably easier on the hands his previous job!)

There is a new coach coming that will replace the Cambridge. It is going to be geared toward the 3/4 ton trucks towing capacity, but have the luxury that was found in the Cambridge.

HUmmm..be that true it could be a indicator what is to come.the new EPA and fuel standards due out soon will no doubt cause the big Gas motors to go away and will choke the diesels down so as to reduce their tow capacity. The day of the Big fifth wheel may be over and Montana sees the handwriting on the wall

I do not think it is so much the diesel EPA changes. Sounds more like an economics standpoint, more 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks on the road than MDT to tow a coach with a GVWR of 17,000+ lbs. For those who can afford the MDT, they are not as concerned with the price tag of a 5th wheel or they would not have a MDT to tow a "heavy" 5th wheel.
