Terrol-- Are you talking an ungrade to the IS (Independent Suspension) or some other upgrade?

I don't know the cost of upgrade to IS but if it was me I wouldn't invest that much in a unit of that age. I would replace the rubber.

I did the work myself on my previous 2008 Montana fifth wheel , and it was not much of a job replacing the rubber springs. It was drastic improvement in the ride . I discovered when I was replacing the old ones, they actually installed the wrong ones , they were for the 6K axles instead of the 7K. I am thinking about that time frame they had pretty much went away from the 6K axles on the Montana fifth wheel , and were using up their inventory on the 7K axles .

The rubber springs are not that expensive , nor would they be that costly to have someone replace them ,if you do not .

Terrol, the IS system will be around $5k and $8k with disk brakes. Not an exact answer but in the ballpark. We had IS installed on our last two Montana’s and we love it. The disk brakes are awesome. I would say that no one here knows your financial status or your love of your current Montana. I don’t believe most of us get into the RV lifestyle to save money.

Although I do have somewhat an upgraded suspension , not IS. I do have "disc" brakes , and that's the one thing I would never go without again on a fifth wheel .
