Powered Vent

I am planning to put a 3-speed fan in the ceiling opening near the bath vanity. In that position, it should function as a "whole house" fan. According to the literature, the fan will fit the existing opening, but experience has taught me that things are never as easy as they appear to be. So, my questions are, 1) Will I have any trouble finding a nearby 12v source? and 2) Can I put a wall switch so it can be controlled without having to reach up? Your ideas will be appreciated. Thx
