Island Extension failure

We have a 2021 3760FL and our island extension brackets have broken twice during travel. The top is much too heavy for the thin cast brackets provided but Montana does not recognize this as an engineering flaw. I even supported the top with padded L brackets and the extension brackets still snapped off. Anyone else having this issue?

I have a 2021 3761fl, same issue with my extension, the warranty covered replacement hinges. To solve the problem I use a ratchet strap around the island to strap the extension in place (down) when traveling. We just remove the strap on arrival.

Ours broke too on our 2020 3761FL. I ordered a set of "heavy duty" folding shelf brackets from Amazon as I've used them before in another RV and they worked well. As yet, we're still in Arizona and won't be leaving until March so I'm hoping they last better than the original. And, yes, the top is very heavy!

I checked ours in the 3762BP and they're not cast. At least they appear to be steel, albeit thin, but, still steel. We haven't towed very much but they appear to be stout enough to withstand the bouncing. I hope.

Pictures?
I was thinking about making one. I'd like to know what hinges NOT to buy.

This is the first I’ve heard of this problem. I’ll have to look at ours the first chance I get, probably be this weekend.

I had one bracket break on ours and replaced it with this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...2?ie=UTF8&th=1

It's much heavier than the original and the release latches are better.
