On our 2007 3400RL it was under the bed. They have removed it and not replaced it prior to trading it or selling it.

If you want a safe buy something that is really a safe .We had a 06 34300 and I would not call what was in there a safe.

I wouldn't go so far as to call that thing a safe. I would call it a flimsy metal box with a cheap lock, that any 10 year old with a screwdriver could open in a blink of the eye.
When I did my under-the-bed extra storage space mod, I removed all of the screws holding the plywood to the bed frame and used the "safe" to pull the plywood up. The "safe" popped off of the plywood as I began to pull on it, at maybe 5 pounds worth of pulling on it!
So now, instead of having that piece of sh.............errr, poorly designed and implemented hardware, I have a super secret locking trap door hidey-hole for any valuables that need to be left in the 5er while we are absent. I could tell you how and where I built that, but then I would have to eliminate you with extreme prejudice to protect the secret location of said, "much-better-than-a-sort-of-screwed-down-flimsy-lockbox", safe.

Refrigerator and under the bed are the first places thieves will look. We tossed ours early on. Would have been good for storing crackers etc but too inconvenient for us to want to use it

Agree, our 07 was the same. Anybody with a claw hammer could very easily pry the "safe" off it's attaching place to the floor.

Our old 2004 2980RL Montana had a nice safe that was built into the floor in bedroom closet. Very heavy duty and secure. Keystone must have dropped that idea soon afterwards as both of our later Montana's only had the cheap lock box under the bed.

Our "secret place" is more secure than the so-called safe located under our bed simply because our "secret place" is disguised so well unlike the 3400 we had before.
