Dometic RM2862 will not run on AC

I am having a problem with our fridge not wanting to run on AC power. It will run on gas but will not auto over to AC power. I have power to the unit. When I have the auto selected it stays on gas and after a while the check light comes on. I have it running right now on gas and the freezer is working good, but the fridge doesn't seem very cold. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like you might not have 110v power somewhere. Did you check the circuit breaker for the fridge in the 110v power distrubution panel? Are you connected to shore power and other 110v devices are working (television, microwave, etc.) If these aren't working did you check that the shore power connection is turned on at the pedestal or that circuit breaker is not working?

If other things do work and not just the fridge, you might try turning the circuit breaker off then back on. Sometimes these are known to fail and not reset. That happened to me with a bedroom circuit. I had to replace the circuit breaker in the panel.

Can you check that the plug has not fallen off in back of the fridge. I don't recall but is there another switch in the fridge to enable 110v power in the first place.

That's some ideas. I hope you can get this fixed. At least 12v works (with propane). We had a problem with a fridge breaking on us and it wasn't power specific. That will mess up an outing completely. We were up in the mountains and fortunately we had some coolers with us and we had to buy an ice maker to keep things cold. Then the dealer took over 7 weeks to fix it. Good thing we aren't full timers.

I had same issue, ended up changing out the board. Check fuses and grounds and the power receptacle for voltage. Then new boards are different, easy changeout in 20 minutes. Good Luck!

Ok, ended up being a simple and cheap fix. The GFI had tripped which the fridges power receptacle is tied into. Reset and all is good. I wish it was always this easy
