No Longer a Chevy owner....

but I'm still loyal to General Motors. Today I became a GM Employee for a day as I purchased a Sparkling White 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD, Duramax, Short Bed, 4X4. See photo below.
Can't wait to get to Indiana and pick up a set of Monty Graphics

Glenn,
At least you got the right color.
What are you going to do for graphic on the side, Pat wants to do something also.
Did you get the LT package?
Best of luck, atleast you didn't go to Ford.
Got the brake controler installed today and tonight I put in the Firestone Air bags.
Working on the Superglide hitch, but have to wait for another one to be shipped, the new one had serious galling in the bars and one set of the extensions, the holes were not large enough.

OH Glenn I am so jealous. Congrats on the new truck. It is beautiful. You were lucky to find one. We have been looking also with this great deal going on but Ed wants a long bed and they are harder to find. But we are having trouble finding anything bigger than a 1500. Enjoy! (Glad you stayed with GM).
Happy trails.....................

Congrats on the new truck, G & L.: Sue & Ed. If you don't mind a little wait, go to your dealer and order what you want. It will take about 6 weeks but you'll have what you want. That's what we did. Went to the dealer to have some things done and check on some tires. Paid $40000 +/- for a set of tires and they gave me a truck to put them on.

Glenn and Lorraine: Congrats. You probably had your choice of colour and model in northern NY around Watertown.

Yes we were. Searched many Chev/GMC dealers both here in NY as well as PA. This is the only white Duramax we could find. It didn't matter as far as Extended Cab or Crew Cab and I wanted either a 2500HD or the 3500.
(Glad you stayed with GM).
Is there any other?

Had to be white or I wasn't dealing.
Will try to get a Montana graphic when we are at the plant.
LSE package.

You'd be surprised, I checked dealers in Messena, Theresa, Clayton, Adams and Watertown and NO ONE had what I wanted. It was by chance that I went back to Davidson in Watertown about a wheel bearing problem when I spoted it on the corner of the lot. They had just got it in and it was the only D/A on the lot. Needless to say they got the wheel bearing problem and I got a new toy.

Congrats Glenn & Lorraine,
I know you'll love yours as much we love ours. And white is certainly the best looking color when hooked up with a Monty. Can't wait to see your graphics, I'm looking to put some on ours.

Went into a dealer to see what they had, nothing on the lot.
Told them what I wanted and they did a computer search in New England and printed me out 15 Chevy, HD 2500, D/A comb, LT and other options and I kept looking at the option list and then give them back a sheet and they would call the dealer that had the truck, after 7 sold units they found my truck in Maine.
Made the deal.
They put 178 miles on the trip bringin it back to the dealer.
The only thing they had to add for me was a XM radio.
