Don,

I installed an ATS intercooler on my 1995 7.3 PSD in 1998. It was a fairly simple install that I did myself. I did have to use the spacers supplied with the unit which moved the front bumper forward about 1/2".

I didn't want to reply since you have a '96 and were asking about that model, but I also have a '95 like Searchers and I have an intercooler installed. I didn't install it myself; I had it installed by Banks Engineering in Azusa, CA as part of the Power Pack. It really helps cool the turbo.

Thanks for putting me at ease, next question is did you notice a great deal of differance in the preformance of the TV on a hill pull, along with the turbo temperature being reduced.
I am getting Camping World to install the Inter cooler at 50% off on labor and 1493.00 for material this week, it is cheaper than what Banks wanted for the same job.

Thanks again for the quick replys.

Since I have Banks, you won't want my response.

Well I got it installed today and yesterday it looks OK, I think, not knowing what is a good or bad install.
First trip Friday, a short one close to home. I still want to check the thermostat before we do the big hill.
I put a picture to show the install.

So what should I expect from all this money spent.

Looks very similar to mine. Expect it to run cooler. Mine does.
