Question on the Pullrite Superglide

For those of you who have this hitch, is it possible to put some sort of a different king pin on the trailer, I'm thinking the 5th airborne at this point, OR, would this be overkill? My knowledge is limited, but I think the superglide is one thing and the king pin is another. Is there a combo that works best?

Any suggestions from superglide owners would be appreciated.

Thanks for all the help.

Phil

I have the Superglide with a TrailAir hitch pin. There is an adapter plate that bolts on to the hitch pin. As long as this plate can be installed on the hitch pin, welded or bolted you should be alright. You might contact Pullrite to be sure..

Phil,

You might want to contact pull rite to confirm that your intended set up will work. I just bought the 18k superglide and was given the universal plate by the dealer who installed the hitch. Upon inspection the screws which go through the side braces of the plate were missing. I emailed pull rite and they responded within an hour and are going to send me out the missing screws. They did not ask me to fax proof of purchase or anything. A class operation if you ask me. I dealt with Tony in customer service. Tony's email address is tony@pullrite.com

Phil, I have the Superglide with the MorRyde pin box w/adapter plate and the combo works great.
