Spendide Washer Broken
Our 2000 Montana has a Splendide all in one unit that has been used very little ( 2 short winters).Tried to use it last wk & nothing happened. You can hear the motor running, but the control doesn't move.He tilted it out & says it's not the belt. We're in Fl for a couple more months,so he'll remove the washer when we get home. The manual offers no help.Wonder if it can be repaired...or do we have a lemon?

not sure...ours is an 04 version. it's been used alot with no problems. I would think if you contacted splendide directly they might have a service tech that may be able to troubleshoot your questions. good luck...keep us posted.

I make an appt locally with a service facility to have it looked at. If You are going to be livling in the unit for a few months why wait to get home and live without it?

He'll try the company first. If that doesn't work, we'll wait 2 mos because I refuse to put any money into repairs. At home, he can replace it with a stacked unit. Had that before & liked it much better.Pat

Make sure you have the water turned on to the unit. There are valves behind it for both hot and cold water. Did you ever winterize your unit? If so, did you run antifreeze through the washer? You could have damaged the components inside if you didn't. The impeller is susceptible to breaking from a freeze up. I'm sure tech support from Splendide will help you through getting it fixed.

Our washer is the same brand as yours but it is eight years old. It is used every day we are parked. (about six months a year). The door switch went out in Mazatlan and the tech. told me how to wire around it. The dryer fan went out got parts over the phone. If you can figure out what is wrong you can fix it your self. This aren't rocket science. The techs. are very helpfull.

As others have suggested, give Splendide's customer service a call. We have found them to quite helpful on other issues. It is certainly worth a call. We have a new Splendide 2100 in our trailer and my wife loves it. (...at least, as much as anyone can ever love a laundry appliance!)

We'll wait till after the Holidays to contact Spendide. Someone asked if the wayer was turned on & yes it was. I'd used the washer 3-4 days before this happened. Our trailer wasn't winterized,as we left Nov 1st. Thanks for all the suggestions.I'll let you know how it turns out. Pat

Treecounter, you took your Montana to Mazatlan? Tell us about that. That's a very long trip, isn't it?

He was able to get thru to Splendide today & the tech was very nice.He agreed the machine had seen very little use, but told us, it was either the circuit board, or the motor was burnt up.
The cost for a new CB is $235 plus tax & shipping.
Replacement cost of the motor is over #300 plus tax & shipping. Of course, that doesn't include labor charges.
That being the case, we'll wait till we get home & more than likely replace it with a stacked unit. Thanks for all your suggestions,Pat
