If your bedroom slide is cable driven then one of the cables may have snapped or come loose.
Check on top of the slide when it is pulled in to see if the cables are all connected.

2010, likely hydraulic, not cable. If memory serves, slide assembly is under the bed, under the storage. I would stsrt there looking for something jammed or separated.

Thank you for responding! Yes it is hydraulic, we took the bed apart everything seems ok, maybe it is the toppers or awning cover over slide? Weird?!?

Is this a new thing or is the trailer new to you? Will it extend at the top if you keep moving it out or does it lock up? Can't really see a slide topper stopping the top from coming out, but I would see if I could unroll the topper fabric by hand to get an idea if the tube is froze or free. Just start twisting the tube to find out. John

I'm with jcurtis934 ... the hydraulic slides are basically a box that are pushed out at the bottom by a cylinder ... the top just follows. If you have a slide topper and its roller froze up somehow, that would prevent the slide from deploying. Sometimes if you haven't lubed the slide seals in a while, the seal gets stuck to the slide and takes a bit to free it. If your topper is free, try pushing forcefully at the top while another person presses the slide button.

Guess what?! It was the slide topper! We slept on the floor with our kids... Fresh eyes and minds the next morning we figured it out! I have been camping in one form or another since I was a kid... Camping people are still the salt of the earth. Thanks for taking the time to help us! We are having a great time In New Hampshire until Labor Day, then the dreadful 1st day of school. Thanks again.

Hi
I was going to say topper. Our topper over the large slide locked a bearing on one end and the hydraulics just broke the bracket off and pushed the slide out anyway. LOL
