Shower instead of Garden Tub in our new 3670RL
We brought home our new 3670RL on Saturday, and just today noticed that it has a shower rather than the advertised garden tub. It is a nice shower, but we would really have preferred the slightly roomier garden tub that we had in our previous 3255RL. Has anyone else recieved a recent delivery with the shower rather than the garden tub?. Just wondering if this was an accidental oversight, or a change in policy.
On the positive side, we have a china toilet bowl that was not expected.
Otherwise we have not found any problem with the new unit, although we know our dealer found and fixed a few minor problems during the PDI.
We were quite surprised when our traded-in '02 3255RL was sold within about 1/2 hour of our arrival at the dealer's. The salesman said he had five couples waiting to see it. First couple came early and bought it on the spot.

OntMont, Congratulations on the new unit don't know about the shower because I have the garden tub but I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do mine...

John and Donna, congrats on getting the new one and not having any major problem. We got an outside shower we'd not ordered but getting the china toilet is much better!
Don't have any answers about the shower but will be watching the thread to see what develops. If it was a mistake I wonder if this is something that can be changed.

I ordered my 3670 with the shower as I did not want to have to step over the tub each time I was getting in and out. We like the shower.

Just to say that I find myself in agreement with DHenry on this one. Not a matter of right or wrong. Each choice is "right" for the one making it. When I took a look recently at the floor plans of the Montanas (those larger than ours) I found myself thinking, "I'd rather have our shower and our sliding doors" even if I were to move "up" to a larger model. Reminder---I'm not questioning those who feel differently about these matters.

Folks, in the cold light of day, I took another look at our order sheet and see that we inadvertently "ordered" the shower IPO the Garden Tub . We are thinking that our eyes focused on the words "Neo Angle" and "Garden Tub" and simply missed seeing the "IPO". No one to blame but ourselves. We'll try it out for a while. If we really find we don't like it, we will talk to our dealer about the possibility of changing it. The shower does give you a handy little nook to put a garbage pail or dog water bowl.
Thanks for all the good wishes.

David, We are with you on the sliding doors, but the 3670RL model has both sliding doors and garden tub as standard. That is one reason we picked the 3670RL.

Our 3295RK also has both sliding doors between downstairs/upstairs, between bath/bedroom, and still has the garden tub, which we specifically wanted. We had the neo-angle shower in our 2880RL and think the garden tub/shower has far more room in it. Just our opinion. As David said, it's all in the wishes of the beholder.

OntMont congrats on the new unit. We love the garden tub just because we have kids and a dog but when the kids are gone I'd rather just have a shower, easier to get in and out of. JMO
