Cool Tool for tank draining
Found a simple tool at Camping World ($4.99)which many of you may already use but just in case...it's called a Drain Hose Wrench, is neon yellow so you won't loose it and has made our set up and knock down so much easier. It makes sewer drain cover removal a snap, drain pipe hose fitting attachment a breeze and is reversible for hose removal and drain cover re-install. For those of you with good strong hands these operations are probably not a big deal. But for those of us with a bit of a challenge this little item is a God-send. Highly recommend. They also have a website www.jrprvinc.com

Bowie,
Sounds a lot better than the large hunk of 2 X 4 as a wedge and hammer I have had to use, cause I am also strong hand challenged Have to have a look at that neon yellow baby!
Thanks for the hint!

Same here Carol. I pull, setup, closeup and drain by myself sometimes so something like that would work for me!
Excuse me while I go check this out.

I also use and recommend this handy tool!
It's amazing how tight those sewer connections can get over a few days!

You all have convinced me. I've had a couple issues on my older TT, and at least one so far with the Monty. For five bucks, I'll be picking one up next week.

Bought one six months ago.
Doesn't fit anything useful on my PrestoLock system.
If I'm not mistaken, it only works if the drain fitting has two nibs sticking out. Many do. Mine don't.

I always spray my sewer fittings with Silicone. Works well for easy removal. Also purchase the cap with the large handle.
