Busted hinge on wire loom

Pulled camp at Williams, by the Grand Canyon and the wiring loom on the desk slide was hanging down, it's always somethin!
Have to get hinges now.

The thingy!
It folds out, the wiring for a slide on the rear driver's side is threaded in it.
Breaks when needed.....

Ozz, a lot of us have had the same thing. Just get a door hinge and attach with self drillers. One side on ours broke, checked other side and it was cracked, so did both sides. But you have three slides. Don't stop now. If you are in AZ or Q in Jan. sure would like to meet up with you guys. Have a great Vegas visit. That R table can get you.

Enjoy

TrailerTrash2 posted some great pictures of the fix with door hinges or gate hinges really because they are heavy. Both our living room slide and the entertainment slide have broken. Duct tape works for a temp fix. The "hinge" that came is really not a hinge just a big piece of heavy plastic material.
Happy trails.................

Hi Ken,

I noticed some seems wrong with Tinypic. My guess is that they will fix it soon. I tried to upload a picture today.
No luck.

Well, shoot. I knew about the wire looms breaking but figured I have a bit more time before ours breaks, like maybe until next spring. But, Jim, yours is not much older than ours, in terms of number of slide cycles, so I guess I better do something about it now, before it gets too cold out there.

I just got back from Home Despot, got some hinges and bolts, nuts, lock washers, now have to go to Harbor Freight, get some goodies, and get a haircut...looking shaggier than usual.

Ozz,

Thanks for the tip, had no idea you could get a haircut at Harbour Freight. Now, there's a real all purpose store! Wish I had enough hair for a haircut.

Man, what a dump, they had inventory all over the place, no help, and didn't have what I needed...
I did buy some sharpening stones, I sharpened every knife in the Monte!
