Lubicate the front Landing legs.

Is it necessary to lube the front landing legs ? If yes, how do you do it.....

I put some silicon spray on mine. Collects little dust and dirt and keeps the parts moving. I usually clean them first by simply wiping them with a rag. So far so good. I spray every part that I can get to that moves. :-)

When I bought mine (used) the front legs were black with slide spray. Very messy and covered with dirt and dust. I cleaned them completely and haven't added any lubricant yet. The previous owner had also lubed the short extensions and they would stick in the leg. I cleaned them also and filed off some burrs around the lock pin holes. They move easily now.

What does the experts recommend for lubrication of the mechanical landing gear, legs in particular?
