AM/FM Radio

Have a Montana Big Sky 3575 with three slide-out's.
One slide-out has entertainment center and dining table.
In the entertainment section a DIGITAL HOME THEATER SYSTEM was provided. It's a Quest-QR1000 model. It includes a DVD Player, digital six-channel hi-fi amplifier and AM/FM radio.
Except for the radio, everything works fine.
All I get from the radio is static. I put a regular radio AM/FM antenna on it and still have static.
Anyone having the same problem or a solution?

How did you manage to connect the AM/FM antenna? Was it via a 75 ohm F59 connector on the rear?? If you did, that was a FM only connector and the AM won't be helped very much. Do you have a plastic loom with a loop of black wire wrapped around it???

Thanks for the reply.
I just cut the end off of the RG-58 antenna cable and separated the shield from around the center conductor. Then twisted the shield webbing and stuck it in one spring loaded AM input and stuck the center conductor into the other AM input.
I'm really only interested in AM, don't care for FM now.
