flickering lights

OK, now what's up with this? The interior lights keep flickering in my 3380 Montana. Just the electric lights, but it doesn't seem to be affecting the TV, plug-ins, Computer...It seems to be getting more serious, but can't figure out where to start with the investigation! Any ideas? Bob & Cherie

Bob you did not say weather it was 12 volt or 110 volt. I Think you are talking about 110 volts. I would check the wire at the breaker, it could just be loose. You need to find the problem before it becomes a bigger one.

Just the electric lights are affected. Which breaker-the inside house breaker box, or the outside pole? Bob

Bob I don't Know how your electrical box is set up in your rig. It sounds like you have a loose connection. To check the breaker you will need to open the panel door and remove the plate that covers the breakers. It would be best to unplug from shore power before you do this, than check and make sure that the screw that holds the wire in the breaker is tight[probably a flat screwdriver] might as well check all of them while you have the cover off. let me know if you find anything.

I'd also check the bulbs for loose connections - especially if it's a 110 screw-in bulb (may have vibrated loose)

Sounds like a ground problem.You are not clear if it is AC or DC.

The overhead lights with the small bulbs are 12-volt in ours. The ones with the regular house bulbs and the flourescent fixture are 110-volt in ours. I assume that's the same in the other models. I agree with those suggesting a loose wire and/or bad ground (could be one and the same). I'd also start at the breaker but would also take the covers off the junction boxes under the slides and make sure one didn't come loose. We had intermittent fan and light on the range hood and the problem was a connection pulled partway apart in a junction box when the slide extended. the wire was stretched too tightly.

Since I'm not totally sure about where your flickerin isg coming from 120 volts or 12 volts, I can only relate to my experience. When I had lights flickering. It was found that my unit was not grounded. I did not get shocked right away, but when I did, it was major.

I am not saying this is your problem. But do check your ground wire at the the back of your unit or where you plug your cord into your unit. Make sure you are grounded. Do not assume they took care of grounding at the factory. My flickering lights were just a symptom of many problems to come. Not sure if this your problem but I do remember those flickering lights and what followed.
