propane detector

Today my surge protected shut off the power three times. Everything came back on and worked ok. Then I noticed the propane detector led was orange. So I held in the reset button with the hope it would go to green. It didn't it's still orange. The manual says it's low voltage?
So any help would be great with this issue.

thanks, kevin

Is your converter still working? It and/or the batteries supply the 12V that power the propane detector.

Check the voltage for each battery and then the converter. They must all read over 12 volts (12.7?). If this look good, then check the propane detector for low voltage. You will probably need to remove the propane detector from its panel to get to the backside to check the voltage wires. If you are NOT electrical comfortable seek qualified help.

Maybe during these surges, something either went bad or caused it. Good luck solving this problem. I wouldn't recommend not running with a propane detector. You might have to replace this one.

Hopefully, someone else can give other ideas.

Kevin, check the breaker panel. Our converter breaker occasionally trips for some unknown reason. Then the 12v items run off the battery without getting recharged through the converter. We first notice it when the 12v lights seem dimmer than usual.
