Do not need the Digital Tuner

The View Sonics have a Digital input just below the analog one so a Tuner should not be required on the new 5ths with the hi def TVs

Even those with the regular tube TVs manufactured in the last year and a half have digital tuners. My 2007 Mountaineer came with a 25-inch analog TV. It went bad last September (2007) and Keystone replaced it with the same model TV, but it has a digital tuner, as required by the FCC. It is not high definition, however.

So, if you have a late model RV without a flat-panel TV, you may still have a digital-capable TV. Even if it's not HD, you can still watch the digital channels and the picture is better than the analog ones.

If this is the case then you should now be picking up digital stations (the "dot" channels like 25.1) now when using the antenna. I would think that would be one way to make sure you have a digital tuner. We replaced the Insignia in ours with a flat screen but that Insignia had a digital tuner and could pick up the digital stations. It could not, however, display them in high definition. Rather, it rendered the picture in the older format. This Insignia was a replacement for our dead original tv. It was about a year and a half old or a bit more. The digital stations looked pretty good, even rendered to the old format.
