Carbon Monoxide
I'm not sure where your carbon monoxide alarm is in your Monty but ours is right above our bed... If you haven't changed the batteries in it for awhile, you might want to.... They have a habit of warning you at 3:30am with a very annoying chirp every 30 seconds until you get out of bed and put three new AA's in...
Don't ask me how we know (yawn)

Been there done that.....except I pulled the batteries and did not worry about it until the next morning and then replaced them. Ours is located in the same place.

It is important to keep the carbon monoxide detector in good working order and the batteries need to be checked regularly. Carbon Monoxide is the silent killer. Thanks for reminding us Helen.

Thanks for the reminder and, most importantly, letting us know that we are not the only people that know of that middle of the night chirp. - Jim

In the 3400, the CO2 detector is near the floor in the kitchen and our previous TT was also near the floor. I thought it was hard wired and haven't checked for batteries!! The light is always on and we have never heard it chirp. Goin to have to check this out. Now the smoke alarm is another bird.. that battery is a must change every 6 mo or 1 yr, working or not. You did hear the story about the dog who slept in the kitchen and passed gas, setting off the co2 detector!!! Sensitive little things!

Myrna,
The detector in the kitchen may be the lp detector. Ours did not come with a CO2 detector, but those that did seem to have them located up higher and in the bedroom

Its CO and not unless you specifically purchase a combination smoke detector/CO monitor.

My 2006 Mountaineer came with a Kidde CO Monitor in the bedroom area, left it in the 5er the 1st winter, about January I heard it chirping so I took the batteries out, and in the springtime when I installed new batteries it would still chirp, and show a fault. The dealer replaced it under warranty, last winter the same thing happened (Now no longer under warranty), so I contacted Kidde, they ended up sending me a replacement, but told me that the unit will fault if left in sub 40* temps. This winter I have removed the unit, and taken it into the stick house, we'll see if it will last..
