Chevy Drivers
Can the truck's jack be used to jack up the Montana in the event of a flat, or does it take a bottle jack (like the one I got rid of last year)?

I have never tried to lift my 3400 with that jack but I'm pretty sure it would do the job if only lifting one axle one side for a flat or doing service my 1 ton like yours weighs 8000 pounds and is very heavy on the front end with the duramax I have a floor jack rated at 4000 pounds and use it to lift the monty for service and it does a great job with ease one axle at a time might need a block for that little jack to reach

Never had to find out if my TV jack would work or not but just in case I do carry a 12 ton bottle jack.

Guess I'm going to have to go try it and see if the truck's jack will work. Can't see any reason to haul around another jack if it is not needed.

Generally you can just run up on block high enough to lift the offending wheel off the ground. We have two sets of the plastic blocks and can ramp them up high enough with the two sets--of course, we still have a bottle jack, too.

I had done that with a previous TT and suggested doing that with the Montana. The consensus on the forum was that the Montana is too heavy and would put to much stress on the one wheel remaining on the ground.

CAT320, We had the "opportunity" to use our truck jack on our trailer this spring on top of Petit Jean Mt. in AR. The bottle jack I had been carrying for the last year was froze up, so I used the truck jack and it worked fine. I got rid of the bottle jack.

Cat, I would think your truck jack is designed to lift your full axle capacity which is higher than your Monty's axle. It will be fine.
