water pump ?

last week before moving I turned the water lever to fill instead of normal (accidentally)

pulled over to use the rig and had water for a flush then no water but pump still working (thought was tank is empty), turned off pump and continued down the road.
today we have full hook ups, filled water tank, turned water off, turned on pump and we get the humming sound that its working but no water I moved the water inlet handle from normal to fill with no success.

is there a way to prime these? or any other suggestions?

Thank you

Not sure what's going on, but here's one of probably many different ways to do it.

Fill the fresh water thank.
Make sure your winterizing switch is NOT set to winterizing.
Make sure your switch is NOT set to "fill".

Next, make sure all your faucets are off.
Make sure your water heater drain is in.

Now, turn on the water pump.
Now turn on one faucet. (I use the shower right there in the outside wet-bay convenience center where the switches are.
Now turn the faucet off and let the pump run.

In a few seconds you'll hear the sound of the water pump changes as it begins to draw water from the fresh water tank.

If it does not. Turn the pump off again. Make sure all faucets are off. Double check the water tank is completely full, or flip it in by-pass.

What you are doing is making sure the water system is completely closed. It has to be completely closed, everything turned off when you turn the water pump on. Actually, it's attempting to pressurize with air. Then (again), turn on 1 faucet only and wait a few seconds. It should start drawing water now. Sometimes you do have to do it twice. I don't know why, you just do.

after I posted I went ahead and tore into the compartment to get to the pump figuring I had to do it any way.
Dutchmansport, thank you for the input as I had already done all that couple of times.
removed the fittings both intake and discharge was getting air pushed through, that's good. siphoned water from the line had water, another good sign. tightened all fittings as far back as I could go. re-siphoned water to intake plugged it thumb and then connected it. left discharge open had Wife turn on pump we had water, YEA. reconnected discharge and now everything is working. some how we lost prime and water was not drawing into the pump. Actually pretty easy fix just another issue with these unit.
