Lay your hand on the slide out side and see how hot it gets. You may not need to do anything.

Being silver it reflects the sun and creates some air space. I roll it and store it in my front bay. It is sort of like windshield reflector material.

This and other similar products are radiant barrier/insulation. I also use this and it works great! I use my extendable carwash brush to help put it up across the top of my slide outs. Then secure at the bottom with parachute cord. It can be a pain if there is a lot of wind but so far have been able to get them on. I cut out window holes to fit each slide out window and use those pieces on the inside to cover the windows if needed. Radiant heat can be more than half of the heat entering your RV. Radiant barrier will block most if not all that heat from entering the rv. Give it a try.

I can say that the black slides get so hot you can't touch them. I always thought that was one of the most illogical things for Keystone. I've walked around campgrounds comparing and Grand Design (and other brand) slides are light colored.
