NEW MEMBER LARRY & LAVONNE

We are new members just signed up last week, as you all can tell by all the mistakes so far. So please be patient with us as we're learning what to do. When we make a mistake, you can't hurt us by letting us know.

We live in NE., I retired 2 years ago and my wife will be retiring this May, at which time we hope to do some traveling. We purchased our first 5th wheel Mountaineer 298RL last September. We've already stayed in it 17 nights, which tells you how much we both have enjoyed it. We went to two different state parks and one trip to McAlester OK.for the holidays. We were amazed at seeing one out of ten vehicles was a camper heading South. Unfortunately we were the only ones going back North! We are of course very anxious for Spring to hit the road and down South for the winters. We both enjoy meeting new people that share the same interests. We're open to any suggestions you have to offer.

Welcome Larry & LaVonne to the MOC Family.

Don't be concerned with any mistakes made on here. At one time we were all new to this forum and I doubt that anyone on here can say they didn't make a mistake the first couple times.
In fact even some veterans still make mistakes.
It's easy to tell when the vets make a mistake by the....

Not only do we make mistakes in the forum, but we make mistakes related to towing, to setting up, and life in general. At least I do!

Welcome aboard! You have a beautiful Mountaineer. I hope you will find this is a very helpful group of terrific people. Check out the annual international rally in the Rally Around forum of MOC. Also there are several regional get togethers being planned.

Last, we have kind of a signal to each other when we meet on the road. When you see another Mountaineer or Montana, flash your headlights twice. Most of the time the other party is not a member and doesn't return the flash, but you never know. You'll also find a Was That You forum on MOC where we post when we saw another one, hoping it was someone in this forum. Usually it isn't, but occasionally...

Please don't hesitate to ask questions, any questions at all. We might not know the answers but we're good at guessing and sometimes we guess right. Usually someone on the forum can help.

Welcome to the forum. The more the merrier. Don't worry about mistakes - I made one on a post the other day, but I don't know how to edit, so I had to do another post to correct. I've been a member since August and am still learning!!! Keep us posted on your travels.

Sunshine, to edit you just find your post and then click on the icon that looks like a piece of paper with a pencil. That will bring up your post, ready to edit. Hope that helps!

Welcome Larry & LaVonne to the MOC and thanks for taking the time to post. It is always nice to see new members posting. Mistakes??? now we all do that occassionally. If we didn't make mistakes, how would we learn? Keep posting and sharing with us so we can all get to know you better. We may meet up somewhere down the road. We just found out another MOC member will be arriving the end of the month here in the park where we are in Crystal River, FL. Looking forward to meeting them face to face as we have with other members at rallies and get togethers. May you enjoy many happy miles in your Mountaineer.

Welcome to the forum folks. Anybody who thinks they don't make any mistakes doesn't do anything in this life! The greatest of people can be found here and in the campgrounds you visit. We are all here to learn and then in turn help out someone else with the knowledge we have gained. We look forward to your future posts.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to welcome us to MOC. We especially enjoy the bio's,the great comments, pictures of their rigs along with the couples,(hopefully someone can help us with getting our picture on),we can't quite figure that one out. We are really enjoying this site when they show all the improvements to make it more user friendly. This appears to be a great bunch of people to chat and work with. Thanks again!

Adding a picture is so very easy.

First of all you must have the picture you want to use in your computer. If you already have one in your computer and know where it is continue....

Go to tinypic.com/

Click on "Browse" and find the picture you want to use and Click on it

Than click on "Host It"

A new screen will open and your picture is now online.

You will be given 4 locations..
Link
Tag
Img [ IMG]http://tinypic.com/*****[ /IMG]
Url

The Img is the tag you will want to copy.

and than Paste this tag into your Profile Signature box

Click on the "Submit" button and

VOILA there you are.

Thanks very much for the info on getting a picture on, it worked with what you said but our picture was way too big! We can't find a way to down size it. We want the picture on our profile and signature. We'll just keep trying and thanks again for your help.

We want to thank you very much for your warm welcome. Yes that would be great to meet up with you in some state park! We purchased our camper in Council Bluffs, IA. (Leach Camper Sales). You may have already read that we just purchased it the end of Sept. and quickly made a few weekend stays in Ponca State Park and the Niobrara State Park. We even spent a weekend in the camper, the first week of Nov.! We have already stayed in it 17 nights, so very anxious for warm weather now and me (LaVonne) to retire in May. I'm sure we'll be packing the camper the following day if it's nice. Again thanks for your message and we've enjoyed the contacts on here and hopefully will get to meet you nice people soon.
