Level Up Auto Retract

Hello all. We have now had this trailer for about a year and we are very happy with it. Now the "story"...

We recently bought a new house. One of the first things I moved to the new house was the trailer (it is finally covered!). The trailer had been sitting for about 2 1/2 months at the other house without use (other than going inside to check on it now and then). I normally leave it sitting between uses with the level up legs down, "auto leveled" and the slides in. When I went over to the old house to hook up and move it, I had a little issue. When I got the truck under it and locked in, I hit the "auto retract" button just like I have done many times in the past. All of the legs came all the way up except the rear right. That leg stayed down 4 or 5 inches from it's normal retract point. Since I was in a bit of a hurry (many other things to get accomplished for the big move) and it was not so low that it would cause a problem by hitting anything, I drove to the new house, backed it in, unhooked and hit "auto level". All the legs came back down and the auto level worked just like it should. Now that we are getting ready to start our camping season again, I am wondering about that right rear leg. I am hoping that it was just a little lazy from sitting for the 2 1/2 months and once I cycle it a few times everything will be fine. I don't have any leaks and the oil tank level is fine. Any thoughts? Thanks, Glenn

Glenn, the Auto-retract works on a pressure sense, once the pump detects sufficient pressure it shuts off. I've had that same exact thing happen once in a while. Just put it into manual mode and retract the rear legs. Worked fine the next time and didn't lose any sleep over it.

Since you have the RV stored conveniently at home, I would hook up the truck and try it again. Maybe even several times. If that leg is sticking ensure you can manually retract (or extend) it. Don't forget to check the leg rams are clean and lubricated.

Cold weather causes this also. Takes higher pump pressure to retract the jacks and they sometimes stop before all are fully retracted. I do a walk around with the remote before I leave to reactivate the pump when I discover any not retracted. Remember to occasionally extend them, wipe the rams, and spray with silicone.

I have had the same problem when it is cold with the rear driver side jack, only it stops about 2 inches from fully retracted. I too put it in manual and retract the rear jacks and it comes on up.
