We checked it out and found others that had excellent coverage for a longer period of time and cost less. So we decided against Good Sam's offering.

Are you talking about Good Sam's CSP plan? If so, we've had it since 2009 on our 2000 Montana and it has been very good.

Consider this: As our units age, we are more susceptible to failures. Our reefer failed after four years of use. Its replacement has lasted eight years! Daresay I should be very happy? I am, but I'm also aware that the replacement has served us twice as long as the original.

That you never used it is a good thing but not justification for dropping it. Would we drop our auto insurance because we have not used it ?????
We now have the RV shield extended warranty and have used it several times over the last 6 years. We are now looking at replacing it with the G.S Rv warranty when this one runs out next year. G.sh as come a long way in the RV warranty dept and they read as good as my RV shield coverage.

We have GS and have never had to use it but we will need it one day and if it is for a refrig.(4 door) or waste tank it will pay for itself.
