GPS install - dashboard mount

I was looking for a clean mounting solution for a Garmin GPS in a Silverado. I found this & thought others might want to know.
The parts to fit numerous vehicles are available from www.arkon.com or www.pro-fit-intl.com. The most difficult step was removing the dashboard trim. There are many utube videos that will help (search for radio removal for your vehicle) I used the 2 screwdriver method, didn't need to buy the "Dash Trim Removal Tool".

The bracket mounts behind the dash trim, the "J arm" is part of the package, does not have to be used.
