Fireplace

Has anyone added a thermostat to control their fireplace? I have been thinking about finding a way to set the temperature, so the coach would stay at a set temperature. Dealer said there isn't a way to do it, but they have told me that on other ideas.
Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks, Dennis B.

Ours isn't perfect, but neither is the AC/Furnace one that came with the rig, but the one that came on the fireplace does fine for us. Took forever to get it set right, but once we did it was good after that.

Okay, guess what...dealer is wrong. Yes you can add an external control to do it. Johnson controls and others make them. I have used them for years to control a deep chest freezer so that I can ferment beer and mead at the exact temp I want. If you have a homebrew shop locally, they might carry it or you can visit morebeer.com (west coast) or northernbrewer.com (east coast/midwest) and look for temperature controllers. The manual Johnson Controls model sells for around $65. It has a plug that you plug into 120 and goes to the controller and back down to the top part of the plug where you plug in the device you wish to control. Has a temp probe that senses temp. John
